Diagnostic imaging at MVS is an essential part of our approach to patient diagnosis and care.
Overview
Our team of highly experienced nurses work with our surgeons to achieve rapid and accurate diagnoses, enabling an efficient and compassionate patient journey through the hospital.
The diagnostic imaging suite includes:
- 16-slice Siemens CT scanner
- Digital radiography
- In-theatre extremities C-arm fluoroscopy for minimally invasive fracture repair
- Access to urgent Specialist radiologist reporting as and when required
- Mobile ultrasound unit for point-of-care ultrasound procedures.

At Manchester Veterinary Specialists we deal with a large variety of orthopaedic conditions in cats and dogs. Much of the work we perform is elective, but we also see more urgent cases too.
